Night City is a moderately-sized city located on the west coast of the United States. It has a population of about 5 million in the Greater Night City Area, with the majority living in sprawling suburbs to the southwest. The city itself lies on a large bay, surrounded by several small subcities and suburban communities (Westbrook, Heywood, Pacifica, South Night City).
Years of pollution, neglect and one of the most corrupt governments in the world have reduced most of these cities to cluttered, semi-deserted sprawls, with burned out homes, empty shopping malls and rampant street crime.
Night City’s temperate Northern California location gives ot one of the most pleasant climates in the western United States. Normal temps range in the mid 80’ to low 50’s with misty white fog blanketing the city in the early mornings and evenings. Rainfall is usually about 21 inches per year. Of this, only an average of 35% contain an acid/toxicity facor higher than current government standards.
When visiting Night City, you should wear light to mediumweight clothing, with a light armor jacket or ballistic overcoat optional. A filter mask and supplemental oxygen are highly recommended as a hedge against inversion smogs and acid rain fog.
